Lisa Butcher is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She holds a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in New Brunswick and a Bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of Toronto. Lisa graduated summa cum laude from both of her degree programs. For the past 15 years Lisa has worked with patients and families dealing with crisis and trauma in front-line and Government workers. She has over a decade of experience working with both youth and adults experiencing physical and mental health issues.
Lisa takes an empathic, integrative approach to counselling. She is passionate about treating individuals, couples and families. She strives to understand how each person’s values, beliefs, and behaviours impact the family unit as a whole. Lisa has a professional interest in Emotional Regulation, Identity, and Family Dynamics. Specifically, she focuses her practice on how these factors are both contributive and protective in the development of physical and mental health issues.
