Jessica is a registered Social Worker who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Social Work, and a Master’s Degree of Social Work from the University of Toronto, specializing in Clinical Counselling. She is empathetic, kind and understanding, who enjoys helping her clients find the inner strength and wisdom necessary to feel empowered and grow. 

Jessica has experience in working with children youth, young adults, families and the elderly. She comes from a clinical background where she has experience counselling in many settings such as hospital, mental health, palliative and family settings. Additionally, Jessica has developed expertise in trauma, bereavement and loss, issues with self-esteem, and with assisting individuals and families rebuild their lives. She is a  provider of trauma therapy for first responders and Government frontline workers. She understands difference due to culture, race, poverty and sexual orientation and incorporates these into her practice. 

Jessica utilizes several counselling modalities including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Practice, Motivational Interviewing and Collaborative Problem Solving.
