Claudette is a master’s intern student in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Claudette is qualified to practice under the clinical supervision of Georgia Brown. As a former RCMP officer, Claudette brings 27 years of experience working with those impacted by adverse life events, trauma, and systemic issues.
Claudette has a deep passion for helping individuals overcome their life barriers. She values a trauma-informed environment that encourages self-reflection and self-discovery while honoring each person’s unique experiences and self-agency.
Using a biopsychosocial framework and a respect-focused foundation, Claudette provides a thoughtful and integrative approach to counselling. She incorporates select theories and interventions from various modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to meet the specific needs and goals of her clients.
Claudette is especially interested in helping clients understand their life factors and overcome distress and core wounds to promote personal change and well-being. She welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds and is committed to creating a non-judgmental environment that supports sharing and client empowerment.
