Sam has a passion for working with children of all ages. She has supported children and their families in various capacities. Over the last 9 years, she has worked with children primarily with an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. She has supported them and their families through behaviour change strategies to generate connectedness with self and their family members. Teachings have included skills such as daily functioning, socio-emotional learning, self-regulation, and effective communication.  

 

Sam has a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in applied behaviour analysis and is a registered autism service provider. She has completed her coursework in Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. Sam has also been a fitness coach of various capacities for over a decade.  

 

Sam’s warm, calm, and welcoming demeanour allows for a safe space of understanding. She values a client-centred approach that allows the client to take the driver’s seat on their journey of healing. Collaboration is important in finding the best treatment plan that supports client’s individual needs. Sam understands that everyone’s perspectives and experiences are unique, therefore she approaches from a curious mind.
